Starting Materials I started this project with a very rough idea of my intended design, and with six 1" square sheets of 14kt, 18 gauge gold. Two were white gold, two were yellow gold and two were red gold. The sheets of gold were purchased at Boston Gems and Findings Inc. for about $190 per sheet, for a total of $1,148.76 including tax. This does not include the money I'll make by remelting and selling the scraps from making the rings!
