Tightening the Stack While holding your compression rig tightly, insert it into a vice. Make sure to line up the vice jaws with the dead center of your billet to provide even pressure. Now crank down on it!!!  The rig should be tightened as much as you can. Just don't break your vice! When you look through the side now, you shouldn't see any gaps at all. Finally, tighten the bolts of your compression rig now:  First tighten all the bolts by hand, and then use wrenches to further tighten the bolts. Like any system that needs even pressure, tighten opposite bolts together. If you were to number the bolts from 1-4 clockwise, tighten them in this order: 1, 3, 2, 4. Repeat until all the bolts stay tight.
