    Preparing for Heat Treatment - Part I


    In order to keep oxygen out, a heat treatment bag was used to effectively seal the rig away from the air. I used a SekPak bag, ordered from McMaster-Carr. These bags can accomodate a piece about 6" on a side and 3" thick, and are made of a special stainless steel that absorbs oxygen above a certain temperature.
