What can I say?  It's not Co-60, so I can put it under my pillow and hope the transmutation fairy will fuse it into something exotic without giving me cancer.

Electrolyzed Cobalt Flakes & Particles

Oh, this is a fun story!  I "borrowed" some binary salts from my high school chemistry lab, and set up a home electrolysis machine at home.  I pass a current through the solution of cobalt chloride.  Luckily, cobalt metal plates off one electrode.  Unluckily, an acrid green gas (chlorine!!!) bubbles off the other!  I get an eye and noseful of the *awful* happening in my room, freak out, and throw the whole apparatus out my window.  My parents come home the next week, wondering why one of their evergreen bushes has taken on a brown, dead appearance.  I admit to... toying with nature.  Now our house has lots more light!  Luckily I recovered some of the cobalt, and here it is!
