Copper

Copper Shot
Source:  Found, Lab Cleanout
Purity:  99.9999%

This highly pure Copper shot was found during a cleanout.  A very thin film of oxide causes the discolorations in the shot - it's actually quite beautiful.

Spectographically Pure Copper Rod
Source:  Found, Johnson Mathey High Purity Chemicals
Purity:  99.99995%

This copper rod was found amid piles of crap, but is far higher purity than is usually found anywhere.  The main impurity is silver at <2ppm.  I believe this only contains three impurities detectable at levels above 100ppb.

Copper Turnings
Source:  High School Chemistry Lab
Purity:  99%

are a couple oxidized turnings I took from high school in the very beginning days of the collection.  Copper is surprisingly heavy - more than I thought.
Copper Ribbon
Source:  High School Chemistry Lab
Purity:  99.5%

This type of ribbon was used in the infamous "silver nitrate precipitation reaction" that everyone does in high school for reclamation of used photographic silver.  Just drop copper ribbon (high surface area) in a solution of silver nitrate, and silver crystals form due to a replacement reaction.  Our chemistry teacher had a few gallons of silver crystals that were thrown out after the students' experiments.  He planned to retire using it, and I believe he has since retired.
